Country Western
Beginner Two-Step: This is where it all begins. Even if you’ve never danced before, this class is designed to get you going! Learn how to do the basic Two-Step, in open and closed position, how to do turns, and how to do beginner patterns like the weave. We strongly recommend that all students try this class before moving on to the Intermediate Two-Step class. Our Beginner class will clean up your basics and make you a much smoother social dancer when you learn good fundamentals. When you leave this series of classes, your friends will think you are the best dancer on the floor!

Intermediate Two-Step: Not for the faint of heart, this class is for the serious Two-Step enthusiast. In this class you will learn movements and patterns that you would normally see on the competition floor. We strongly recommend that you speak with our staff before signing up for this class. We have found that many experienced dancers can’t keep up with the challenging moves being taught. This class moves fast and includes spinning turns for the guys and gals. It includes alternate footwork, hitting breaks, and turning patterns.

Houston has one of the largest West Coast Swing communities in the United States. Learn this versatile and popular dance fast from our top instructors. It’s a sexy, groovy, slotted swing dance done to R&B, Blues, Hip Hop, Country, and other genres.

Beginner A-D
Our Beginner West Coast Swing classes feature four months of Beginner material. You’ll learn 6- and 8- count basic patterns that set the foundation for all West Coast Swing moves. You can start on Tuesday or Thursday at the beginning of any month and take lessons on that night for four months without repeating the same material.

Concepts and Styling: After you’ve mastered your basic 6 and 8 count patterns, this class will give you a better understanding of the dance and build your repertoire. Learn variations in patterns, hand changes, turns and spins. Begin to develop alternate footwork, too.

Advanced
Abstract Swing and Musicology:Now it’s time to step out of the box. This class is about letting the music guide your movement and giving you the skills to do it. This class is not about patterns – it’s about altering patterns based on what the music is doing at the time. Develop a greater sense of timing, learn how the pro’s listen to the music and really get the most out of a song. Step up your dance with new body styling for both men and women. Get a taste of professional choreography! New material every month.

Beginner & Intermediate Social Ballroom – Waltz / Foxtrot / American Tango
Learn quick, to the point techniques that will have you dancing around the room like never before. This class will teach the fundamentals of moving in harmony with another dancer for Waltz and Foxtrot Rhythms, the finer points of correct dance position, swinging the legs to create space and quality movement, as well as turning left and right while holding your partner in closed dance position.

Intro to Salsa
Intro to salsa is a one month course for absolute beginners. In this class you will learn the basic steps, as well as the rhythm and timing of the dance. From this class you will advance to Beginner.
Beginner Salsa
This four month syllabus is designed to develop fundamentally sound Salsa dancers. Students who are interested in becoming better dancers will repeat the four month syllabus before moving on to the Intermediate class.
Intermediate Salsa
This level class incorporates plenty of techniques and drills, allowing each student to successfully retain and own the combination given weekly. Having a good foundation is the only way to build a nice repertoire.
Advanced Salsa on 2
This class is for those dancers that are comfortable with their dancing on1. This on2 class will be an introduction to the mambo style. All turn patterns and shines will be taught on2, and we will explain how you can convert material that you already know on1 to on2. This class will make it easier for you to understand the difference between the on1 beat and the on2 mambo beat.

Argentine Tango
Beginner
We will only teach Tango Fundamentals — Basic Step, Ocho forward and Ocho back, Molinete. It is recommended that students repeat Beginner for at least 6 months before advancing to Intermediate. Class is also open to experienced Tango dancers to refresh and polish their basics.
Intermediate
This class is designed to understand Tango movements, how to link the steps you already know, improvise and learn better floor craft, to enable you to get on the dance floor during social events. Students must have already completed the Beginner program.

Brazilian Samba with Lucia Dargam
In this class, students will combine fundamentals of the traditional Brazilian Carnaval dance with lots of sexy moves. You will improve body movement, technique, speed, posture, and most importantly – you will get rid of stress with a unique workout that will make you look and feel great! Get ready for some fun!!!
