Two very important things are happening in February for Junior dancers in Houston. First up…D’Amico Dance is starting a Junior West Coast Swing Team to be held on Saturdays from 12:00-1:00pm. Absolutely no experience is necessary, and experienced juniors are welcome and encouraged to participate. Ages 8-17.
Second on the agenda….D’Troupe, our performance team, is ready to start new choreography and is opening it up for new team members to join. No prior dance training is required, and boys or girls ages 10-17 are welcome. Classes will be held Friday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm.

Footloose Glee Classes!
Glee Footloose will be starting up January 7th with Robin Carlson. Classes are from 10:30-11:30 every Saturday for 10 weeks, and tuition is $100 for the session. This is a great opportunity to get your kids…girls AND boys…from ages 8-18 involved in musical theater. We’ve had two of these sessions so far, and the kids have LOVED them!

Junior Latin Program with Michael Blanco and Jessica Cubelli!
Michael and Jessica are nationally competitive ballroom dancers, just like you see on Dancing With The Stars. They are one of the top latin dance couples in Texas. They compete and perform all around the world. They are not only incredible performers, but world-class instructors. Michael and Jessica specialize in the International Latin Style of competitive ballroom dancing, but are also known for their excellence in teaching a variety of Social dances. Their charisma and passion for dance keeps anyone around them enchanted. Michael and Jessica specialize in the development of Junior and Youth Latin and Ballroom programs in the state of Texas, and now they are bringing it to D’Amico Dance!

Huang Ballet Sessions!
We are happy to welcome Huang Ballet to D’Amico Dance! Junshuang Huang, Houston Ballet’s newest principal dancer, and his wife Xiaochen Chen, the leading dancer of Guangzhou Ballet Company, are offering Ballet and Contemporary classes for adults and children.

Damon and Lisa D’Amico are passionate about dancing and have been teaching West Coast Swing and Country Western dance lessons since 1991, and in Houston since 1998. They both hold many titles in both country and swing, and are still active competitors on both circuits. As an integral part of the Houston dance community, Damon and Lisa specialize in fun, to-the-point instruction designed to build confidence and get people dancing faster.
